SSEH are now offering a unique opportunity to gain access to our state-of-the-art testing facilities here at Silverstone.

Groups will experience first-hand how many of the world’s best are able to utilise the wind tunnel and our test rigs to optimise every aspect of their performance, whilst meticulously controlling and monitoring the variables.

Join us for an exciting visit filled with cycling-related activities designed to enhance teamwork, communication, and a bit of friendly competition!

Throughout the event, colleagues will come together to engage in various activities that encourage collaboration and growth. From reducing drag to optimising tyre pressure, each activity has been crafted to ensure everyone can participate—no matter their cycling skill level.

• Sports Performance Wind Tunnel – Cycling is not just about endurance and strength; it’s a delicate balance of physics, technique, and equipment optimisation. One of the most pivotal aspects is aerodynamics. In a sport where every second counts, understanding how to minimise drag can drastically improve performance.
• Pedalling Efficiency Rig – Maximise the efficiency of the bike and rider, ensuring all your efforts are being utilised to propell you towards victory!
• Performance Lab – In cycling, efficiency and power production are paramount. Our state-of-the-art bike fitting studio leverages the latest in biomechanics to optimise each rider’s performance. This investigation explores how precise adjustments informed by biomechanical principles can enhance both comfort and efficiency, maximizing power output.
• Fabric Wind Tunnel – In the world of competitive sports, particularly cycling and triathlon, athlete performance is intricately linked to the equipment they use. Among the most critical pieces of equipment is the skinsuit—a tight-fitting garment designed to reduce drag and enhance aerodynamics. To ensure that these suits provide maximum efficiency, utilising the SSEH Fabric Wind Tunnel can be a game-changer in fine-tuning a manufacturer’s design for a specific event.
